Tea is great for your
taste buds and good for your health. Green tea is especially good for
your health, but so are many other herbal teas.
The variety of teas is huge -- black, green, red and more, which are made from many
different leaves and flowers.
Some teas have well known benefits, like raspberry
leaf tea used during pregnancy. In general, tea is rich in antioxidants and has low levels of caffeine
compared to coffee.
Green tea has been used as a medicine in China for several
thousand years and is believed to stop certain neurodegenerative illnesses, including
Alzheimers. Green tea is also believed to aid in the prevention and/or treatment of
cancer and to aid in the treatment of arthritis.
Tea is a
natural source of fluoride that can help protect against tooth decay and gum
disease.
To make the perfect pot of traditional tea, boil fresh water and let the tea brew for 3-4
minutes. And should you add the milk to the tea or the tea to the milk? If
you're pouring from a teapot, put the milk in the cup first and you won't scald
the fats in the milk.
